Colorado 500 continued . . .

If you can begin to understand why the Colorado 500’s annual visit to the Gunnison National Forest benefits motorized users here, be sure to mention it the next time the subject comes up. Refer people to this web page if they need more info or have questions about the issue. If you still feel the legal, political, economic and on-the-ground benefits don’t outweigh the Colorado 500’s yearly visit to the Gunnison National Forest, please take the time to contact us and explain why. If local riders or the CBTRA turns its collective back on groups like the BRC, COHVCO, and the Colorado 500, we lose a huge resource in our fight against the extremists, elitist, exclusionary Anti’s who seek to shut us out. This is something we cannot afford to do.

Overall, I ask that you remember that our national forests are for everyone. If we do not remember that, we become no better than a group such as HCCA. We need to educate others and we need to keep ourselves educated. We need to recognize and support the groups that support responsible OHV use, so we can continue to receive their support. Keep the fight focused where it needs to be.

Thanks.

Buddy Ramstetter
