Welcome to the big show, folks, where you finally get to formally offer your input on what trails and routes you think should exist or not exist on the Gunnison National Forest and BLM lands. The "Anti's" have been demanding a review of route-by-route travel for years on the Gunnison and now it's finally here. They're going to try and get as many routes closed to you as possible (regardless of what they say at the meetings) and now is really your big chance to make the route-by-route comments that will keep as many of your favorite routes open as possible.
If you simply blow this off, thinking that your opinion doesn't matter, won't be taken seriously or that the "chips" are going to fall as they may, regardless of what you do, think again. This is your opportunity to let the Forest Service know that you're a trail user and you want continued access to the single track trails and routes on the Gunnison National Forest and BLM that you have enjoyed for years.
Still not convinced? Know that the "Anti" crowd is taking this opportunity very seriously, offering comments well beyond their knowledge on why single track trails in the Gunnison Basin should be closed to the majority of public lands users--us motorized folks. Your comments are the only thing that will off-set and overcome their elitist, exclusive points of view.
Make the time to comment . . . it's time better spent than riding or wrenching on your bike. If you don't invest the time up front on this one, you may be left hating the outcome and kicking yourself over it for years to come, |
